Assessments We Offer
A quick note about how assessments are paid for: Your insurance plan may pay for the cost of an assessment that you need. If you are interested in getting an assessment, please contact us with your health insurance information and we can contact your health insurance company on behalf of you to find out what the cost would be.
PTSD / Trauma Assessment
A formal PTSD / Trauma Assessment is designed to bring diagnostic clarity for clients, clinicians, and insurance companies. This involves a clinical interview to learn more about the nature of the trauma and other factors, as well as structured and widely-accepted formal assessment tools (like the CAPS-5 and the PCL-5, among others). After all necessary information is gathered, a formal Assessment Report will be written that accurately describes these findings. People undergoing a formal PTSD / Trauma Assessment should expect to spend 1-4 hours being interviewed. [Note: all assessment offered via telehealth.]
Typically reimbursed by health insurance? Yes
Private pay rate (not billing health insurance): $500 (includes all necessary meetings, tests, reports, etc.)
Psychodiagnostic Evaluation
Psychodiagnostic Evaluations are useful when it is unclear what is going on with a client. This process involves a clinical interview, broadband clinical measures (like the MMPI-2-RF or the PAI), and narrowband measures as needed. This allows us to better understand what symptoms a person is experiencing, how these symptoms relate to other symptoms, and what the likely diagnoses might be. After all necessary information is gathered, a formal Assessment Report will be written that accurately describes these findings. People undergoing a formal Psychodiagnostic Evaluation should expect to spend 2-6 hours being interviewed. [Note: all assessment offered via telehealth.]

Private pay rate (not billing health insurance): $1000 (includes all necessary meetings, tests, reports, etc.)
Suicide / Violence / Threat Risk Assessment
When it comes to assessing a given person's risk for suicidal or violent behavior, a comprehensive and data-driven approach is needed. Recent research has find that simple measures of suicide risk often yield a 99% false-positive rate, rendering these common approaches to risk assessment effectively useless. To accurately understand a person's risk for suicidal or violent behavior, we use a clinical interview, combined with focused assessments of these conditions (like the C-SSRS, HCR-20, and Beck Scales, among others), combined with our clinical judgement. After all necessary information is gathered, a formal Assessment Report will be written that accurately describes these findings. People undergoing a formal Suicide / Violence / Threat Risk Assessment should expect to spend 2-6 hours being interviewed. If an individual is thought to be at risk for suicidal or violent behavior after the assessment is complete, we will work with that person to establish an effective safety plan and to figure out their next steps for care and safety. [Note: all assessment offered via telehealth.]

When there are questions about whether someone can effectively or safely perform their duties / responsibilities due to a behavioral or psychological concern, a Fitness for Duty / Behavioral Clearance Assessment can help clear the air. This process will involve a clinical interview, as well as clinically-recognized assessments (like the MMPI-2-RF, the PAI, or the MoCA). After all necessary information is gathered, a formal Assessment Report will be written that accurately describes these findings.
