North Star Psychology is dedicated to further developing the science of psychology through creative scientific research. Our goal is to improve the lives of people by discovering new ways to evaluate, predict, and treat mental health issues. Below is a selection of our ongoing research efforts.
OCD, Suicide, and AI Use
We are exploring the way that people with OCD or suicidal ideation use artificial intelligence tools. Our goal is to create specific recommendations for our clients, other clinicians, and the AI industry as a whole to better protect the mental health of people.
GLP-1 Inhibitors and OCD
Some of our clients have mentioned noticing changes in their OCD symptoms since starting GLP-1 Receptor Agonists (sometimes called GLP-1 Inhibitors, like Ozempic). We're exploring why this might be happening and if there are specific recommendations that should be given to prescribers and clinicians.
